Prof Anton Kiss
Tony Kiss is a professor and chair in chemical engineering at The University of Manchester, and a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award holder. He has over 20 years of experience in industrial and academic research.
Previously he had a senior project manager/leader position at AkzoNobel - Research, Development & Innovation and a part-time professorship at the University of Twente (The Netherlands). He holds a PhD title from the University of Amsterdam, and he was also Post Doctoral research fellow at Delft University of Technology and University of Amsterdam.
His main research interests include process systems engineering, process intensification, and separation technology. He carried out many research, development and innovation projects, while also publishing several books, book chapters, patents, and over 100 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. He received the Hoogewerff Jongerenprijs – a very prestigious award recognizing the most promising young scientist in The Netherlands – and the AkzoNobel Innovation Excellence Award for the most successful industrial innovation.
