Catalysis Hub Call for Projects
All proposals for received will be reviewed by the Management group and steering group to ensure they meet the criteria, they will then be prioritised by members of the Steering group (SG). The SG will determine how they best fit the criteria and indicate if some should be deferred at this time or whether they remain relevant to the Hub ethos. Applications from new PIs and members are encouraged. Please discuss core projects with PIs of each theme.
The UK Catalysis Hub announces the successful funded projects at the annual conference.
Please use the navigation to see more information about the proposal, criteria and resource available.
Up to 2 years PDRA time is standard for these projects, but the resource awarded will depend on the results of the prioritization and the resource available.
When the call is open, proposals should be submitted in word or PDF format to the project coordinator by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please check the Project Criteria to ensure you have supplied sufficient information.
Some themes only have Core resource remaining - if you think your project may require core resource please speak to the PI of the relevant theme to discuss the expertise of the Core postdocs.
Prior to any new project starting the University has to sign the Accession to the UK Catalysis Hub Collaboration agreement. This is a non-negotiable option as this collaboration agreement has been agreed by the four theme Universities and it was stated at the outset of the UK Catalysis Hub that any University wishing to benefit from resources and involvement in the UK Catalysis Hub would be required to sign this agreement. In addition, a representative of the budget holding university must be included as a full member of the recruitment committee to ensure that the appointees realise that they are appointed to a UK Catalysis Hub position and what this entails. Again these non-core PDRAs are also available for secondment to other Universities within the overall UK Catalysis Hub.
All institutions must sign the accession agreement (to the collaboration agreement) as is with no amendments for the projects to go ahead.
Please contact Josie Goodall (Josie.email@example.com) for a copy of these agreements.
If your institution has not yet signed one of these agreements please contact your contracts departments to discuss them before submitting a proposal. Please also discuss the financial models with your finance department.
